Kids

Therapy meets play. Online sessions and local therapy across North Brisbane. And yes, we really do make it fun.

Why Therapy Time?

Our paediatric services support children and families through occupational therapy, speech therapy, and feeding therapy. From early years through to adolescence, our approach is play based, child led, and grounded in real life. Our therapists get it. We partner closely with families to build skills across communication, daily living, feeding, and emotional regulation. Our focus is on meaningful outcomes that support children to participate confidently at home, at school, and in their community.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy supports children to develop the skills needed for everyday life. This includes relevant assessments, fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, play, and independence with tasks like dressing, toileting, and school participation. Our team has expertise in supporting neurodivergent kids and little ones with developmental delays.

Therapy Time provides individualised occupational therapy for babies through to young adults, focusing on the following key areas:

  • Developmental Skills: Support for fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and social play.

  • Functional Independence: Targeted goals for daily living, including toileting, dressing, sleep, feeding, and school readiness.

  • Adolescent & Community Skills: Building life skills such as money management, organisation, travel training, and community access.

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Specialist evaluations including NDIS functional assessments, sensory profiles, handwriting, and ESDM checklists.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy supports children to build communication, language, and social interaction skills. We work on speech clarity, understanding and using language, social communication, and early literacy. Therapy is practical, engaging, and individualised, helping children feel confident expressing themselves in everyday situations. Our speech therapy services cover a broad range of communication and functional needs, including:

  • Speech & Voice: Support for articulation, phonology, stuttering, and voice clarity.

  • Language Development: Building skills in expressive language (speaking), receptive language (understanding), and literacy.

  • Social & Cognitive Communication: Enhancing pragmatic social skills and cognitive-communication strategies.

  • Specialised Support: Expertise in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and swallowing therapy.

  • Neuro-Affirming Care: Targeted therapy for children with ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and developmental delays.

Feeding Therapy

We support children and families with feeding challenges ranging from starting solids through to selective eating and complex feeding needs. Our approach is responsive, evidence based, and family centred. We focus on building positive mealtime experiences while supporting skill development, confidence, and increased variety over time. Our feeding and nutrition expertise focuses on the following key areas:

  • Infant & Pediatric Feeding: Support for breastfeeding, bottle feeding, solids, and managing selective eating or Paediatric Feeding Disorders (PFD).

  • Gastrointestinal & Medical Nutrition: Specialised care for food allergies, intolerances, and digestive health (reflux, coeliac, IBD, and IBS).

  • Neurodivergent Support: Tailored strategies for children with ADHD, ASD, and ARFID to address sensory or developmental feeding challenges.

  • Tube Feeding & Clinical Growth: Expert management of tube feeding (including BTF), weaning, growth concerns, and specialised diets like plant-based or vegan.
